Our Story
The idea for Forcynthia came about when founder Cynthia Ford struggled to find the perfect dresses and beachwear for her travels. After countless hours searching both boutiques and online stores, Cynthia realized there was a need for a shop that offered a wide variety of stylish pieces at accessible price points.
After teaming up with designers and clothing manufacturers, Cynthia launched Forcynthia in 2021. The initial collection focused on versatile dresses and beachwear that could transition seamlessly from day to night. The pieces blended elegance with ease, allowing women to look put-together without sacrificing comfort.
The brand hit its stride when Instagram influencers and savvy fashion bloggers organically discovered and began wearing Forcynthia’s designs. From fashion insiders to everyday customers, it was clear that Cynthia had struck a chord by filling a gap in the market.
Bolstered by this positive response, Cynthia expanded the Forcynthia offerings to include even more categories like jumpsuits, swimsuits, cover ups, and accessories. However, the focus remains on affordable, quality pieces that can be worn for years to come.

Sample Creation & Fit Testing
Before selecting final fabrics and prints, we create physical samples to perfect the fit and function. All silhouettes are tested on models with diverse body types so we can refine the patterns.
Small Batch Production
Once we finalize the fabrics, prints, and fits, we produce small batches of each style to ensure quality. Limited quantities mean our pieces sell out quickly!
Photoshoot Styling
Before photographing our pieces, our stylists artfully accessorize each look. We style pieces together and on models to inspire you to wear them in real life.

Cynthia’s lifelong love of fashion led her to launch Forcynthia after struggling to find affordable, quality dresses in her own size. She’s committed to running an ethical brand that makes women feel confident. When she’s not working, you can find Cynthia chasing after her two kids or taking beach trips.
Head Designer Sandra Klein
With 15+ years in the fashion industry, Sandra oversees our in-house design team. She earned her degree in Fashion Design from Parsons in NYC. Sandra finds inspiration in vintage styles, customer feedback, and her extensive travels. Her goal is to create timeless, versatile pieces.
Photographer Amanda Bell
Amanda photographs all our product shots in-house and oversees our models to capture real women with diverse body types. She studied Fine Art Photography and loves styling and art directing our shoots. Amanda also handles our Instagram feed and social media imagery.
Operations Manager Denise Chang
With a background in supply chain and production, Denise ensures seamless operations. She audits factories abroad, manages fulfillment, and oversees customer service. Denise loves solving problems and speaks four languages.
Fit Model Gabriela Cruz
Gabriela models pieces in all stages of sampling and helps refine fit. She’s been with Forcynthia since the beginning and her feedback is crucial. Gabriela loves contributing to designs that make women feel confident. When not modeling, she’s a stylist and mom.
